Episode #4: The Success Formula = IQ + EQ
Emotional intelligence has become a key consideration for personal and career success. Up until now, many educators and employers have not trained people to do this type of work.
The development of EQ multiplies the effectiveness of IQ. It produces better results while reducing the drama, chaos and disengagement often from within many organizations. The global acceleration rate of change and innovation has made the growing importance of emotional intelligence inevitable.
There is a wide variation among individuals with regard to emotional intelligence. Intellect and depth of knowledge is not a substitute for a lack of emotional intelligence. After leaving school EQ has become a critical factor in career success. The World Economic Forum has indicated emotional intelligence will be one of the Top-10 required skills by 2020. The development of EQ can truly be a results multiplier.
