Episode #5: Out Care The Competition
Sales is not about selling. It is about developing deep, trusted advisor relationships with your clients. The real purpose of money is to move wealth around. Money and wealth are not the same thing. The disadvantage of looking at money as wealth is that it obscures what being in sales really means. When we stress over money we are stressing over something that has no real value.
Most people think that the primary purpose of a business is to make money. But money is simply the intermediate stage. What your customers really want is a product or service that removes their pain. The authentic leadership and emotional intelligence you demonstrate while serving others is the ultimate money-revenue magnet.
Your network of trusted advisor relationships is the most valuable asset you have as an individual or an organization. The global economic value of these networks is growing much faster than the traditional economy. Its current value is estimated at over $10 Trillion per year. If the trust economy were a country it would have the 2nd largest economy in the world.
