MBL Minute: Fear of Change And Real Change
Episode Notes
We often want better results than we are achieving but few of us
are willing to change it get it. Our core beliefs are
the beliefs we cherish most deeply. They usually develop from
childhood and are compounded by our life experiences. Our
core beliefs are inflexible, rigid and incredibly sensitive to
being challenged. The brain’s amygdala screams “battle
stations” when our core beliefs are challenged.
Real change happens one step at a time. Each step in our “penny doubling” journey represents a lesson we need to learn. Going from day 1 to day 2 does not take any more energy than going from day 2 to day 3, or from day 3 to day 4, and so on. The journey and our results are a progression.
