MBL Minute: The Slowly Boiling Frog and Leadership
We are in the midst of a rapid change revolution that will destroy the status quo and enable the impossible. We need to be proactively developing our authenticity and emotional intelligence in order to navigate our way through these challenges. This will enable us to embrace the challenges and opportunities that are now before us instead of behaving like a slowly boiling frog.
Management’s primary function is to maintain and improve upon the existing status quo. The role of leadership is to move beyond the status quo in order for innovation and change to occur. You can follow the herd or you can lead it but you cannot do both.
