MBL Minute: An Attitude Of Gratitude And The Neuroscience Of Laughter

It is impossible to feel gratitude and anxiety
at the same time. Gratitude requires an
appreciation of the positive aspects of a situation. An
increase in gratitude could have such wide-ranging effects as
increased exercise, improved sleep, lower blood pressure, decreased
stress and fewer aches and pains.
Laughter is a key to building trusted advisor
relationships. Stressful
situations cause the release of the hormone cortisol to be released
in our brain, negatively impacting your memory. Laugher
leases endorphins which is often seen as societal
glue.
