After we leave school EQ, not IQ is the most critical factor in our success. In its report The Future of Jobs & Skills, the World Economic Forum declared that Emotional Intelligence will be one of the Top-10 most required skills by 2020. Emotional contagion is the process where the behavior of an individual or group of individuals begins to affect the behavior of the group as a whole. The emotions and energy we choose to surround ourselves with has a huge impact on our results. The effects of emotional contagion can cause us to behave like the average of the five people around us.
