MBL Minute: Spidey Senses And To Live Love And Laugh

Our so-called 'spidey sense' or 'spider sense' refers to an ability to sense imminent danger, a kind of sixth sense. We all have them which, according to brain scientists, comes from the evolution of some specialized brain cells referred to as mirror neurons. In order to create a safe business environment, where innovation is encouraged, the need for authenticity and emotional intelligence is essential. Innovation requires trust and the feeling of safety. You must believe that the people you work with have your back. Authentic emotionally intelligent individuals would never sacrifice your safety for their personal benefit. When your people feel safe to take risks they will be more engaged and so will your customers. This is how highly effective organizations are developed.

It is important for us to live at least some of our dreams. Our life provides us with a freedom that few of us realize until we no longer have it. Looking back it is easy to see how many of our dreams have gone unfulfilled. Most of us have not honored many of our dreams due to the choices we have made, or avoided. In the end, what others think of us will be a long way from our mind. Our happiness is our choice. Fear of change may cause us to pretend to others and to our self. When deep within, we long to live, love and laugh once again.
