Learning how to lower our walls is the key to our success. We burn trust 5-7 times faster than our actions can actually earn the trust of others. That means is if our walls are up just 15% of the time we are actually damaging the very relationships we are trying to cultivate. When our walls go up, for whatever reason, we are giving away our energy and burning the trust of those we seek to serve. The relationships we have with others is our most valuable asset. It is why we strive to cultivate trusted advisors relationships.
